Under the leadership of new head coach, Mike Holovak, the Boston Patriots reversed a 2-3 start to finish the 1961 season with a respectable 9-4-1 record.  The Pats had the basis of a fine defense with Larry Eisenhauer, Bob Dee, Jim Hunt and Tom Addison.  Future Hall of Famer, Nick Buoniconti, was a rookie, and would be adding his talents to a group that was soon to be known for their “red-dogging” style.  A good deal of Patriot chest bumping, and more, went into their season ticket sales efforts, which included the beautiful four-page flier shown here.  Individual game tickets were $6.00 for box seats, and $5.00 for reserved seats.  Quite a bargain.  Accounting for inflation, that would be the equivalent of paying $45.59 and $37.99 for your tickets today.  A quick online search for 2012 Patriots tickets shows that Lower Seating Section seats can be had between $143.25 and $223.95 apiece. read more
