With three different lots of Robert L. Smith’s photography now in my collection, I figured that it was time to set up a separate gallery dedicated to his work. From this point forward, Tales readers can find the Robert L. Smith Buffalo Bills Collection in the Photo Galleries section of the site. I am due to acquire three more deliveries of photos over the next few months, and I will add those images to the gallery as soon as I receive them. Enjoy!
I recently received a shipment containing my third purchase of photographs from former Buffalo Bills photographer, Robert L. Smith. We have an arrangement in which I have given Mr. Smith some suggestions as to the types of images I like, the players, years, themes, etc. He then makes selections from his collection of vintage prints, and sends them to me sight-unseen. Some might consider it an odd arrangement, but I’ve been increasingly pleased with each batch that I’ve been sent. This third installment is no different.
Back in November, I posted about purchasing a batch of vintage Buffalo Bills photographs from the Bills’ original photographer, Robert L. Smith. I recently picked up another small lot of photos from Mr. Smith, and thought you all would enjoy viewing them.
For those that do not know, Mr. Smith is selling prints from his many years as a Bills photographer. He has hundreds available, and at very reasonable prices. Additionally, Mr. Smith has told me that for those who purchase photos from him, if you mention that you saw his work on Tales from the American Football League, he will include a special free gift with your purchase.
