    The above scenario looks like something out of an episode of “The Rockford Files”–except for the fact that “Rockford” didn’t hit the airwaves until the ’70’s. I can see it, though–some kind of land investment scheme goes awry, and Rockford and Gilchrist team up to save the day.

    I don’t know what kind of acting adventures Cookie may have pursued, but he would have been good.
