I remember Rick playing for the Dolphins against the Bills in one of the four games the Bills won in 1969. He was in for an injured, I think, Bob Griese, and did an admirable job for Miami in cold Buffalo weather late in the season. I rember the Bills squeaked out a victory after Rick’s sure-fire touchdown pass hit the goal post (then right on the goal line) and bounced away. I recall Van MIller’s voice even now, “IT HIT THE GOAL POST.”
God bless and Rest in Piece, Rick.
