I received an email this morning from the granddaughter of former Los Angeles Chargers guard, Fred Cole. She said that Fred has passed away on Friday, October 11. An obituary will follow.

Fred played in era before the big money. Excellent athletes who were smart like Fred during that time looked at other options in life. Fred prepared himself well. His family can be proud of him.
