Former Houston Oilers and San Diego Chargers tight end, Willie Frazier, passed away on September 5, in Houston, Texas. Frazier’s obituary can be found HERE.

And what a great 1967 it was for Frazier.
Willie?
He did.
5 for 105 and 2 tds in the opening game that year, 57 for 922 and 10 tds on the season, the best of his career by far; a great offensive team the Chargers ’67.
Frazier was a slightly larger/almost as fast/similarly gifted athletically the Chiefs WR Otis Taylor. Were it not for the Raiders Billy Cannon (32 629 10 tds in ’67) Frazier would’ve garnered 1st team all AFL/All Pro honors (should have anyway, better stats & more of a blocker than the undersized Cannon.) Another link in the AFL chain lost.
Wow..last several weeks I had read here of the great compliments that Lance Alworth said about Willie Frazier. He was a great guy who was very kind and nice to me and I looked at him as some kind of Superman. I am very sorry for his loss and send my condolences to his family. He was always fun
